Did you know that at Christian Coaches Academy, we don’t just offer weekly networking and prayer calls? We also hold quarterly planning sessions to help our coaches stay accountable and reach their business and life goals.

A few weeks ago, we hosted our Annual Planning Session, and the breakthroughs were incredible!

Here’s what some of our members had to say:

It was so inspiring to see everyone take intentional steps to reflect on the past year and map out their goals for the year ahead. This is why I’m so passionate about planning—it’s not just about setting goals. It’s about stepping intentionally into God’s purpose for your life and business.

Why You Need Annual Planning & Accountability

I truly believe that to run a successful coaching business, you need more than just faith; you need MASSIVE ACTION.

And planning your year isn’t just for business goals. It works for any goal you’re serious about achieving.

Every year, I go through this process with my wife–and last year, for the first time, we included our kids! For us, planning is not just about business. It’s about aligning every area of our lives.

Here are some areas to consider when setting your goals:

  • Faith Goals: How will you grow closer to God?
  • Family Goals: What memories do you want to create with your loved ones?
  • Health Goals: How can you improve your physical and mental well-being?
  • Financial Goals: What’s your plan for stewardship and growth?
  • Personal Development Goals: How will you challenge yourself to grow?

The Process: A Simple 7-Step Guide

Here’s how you can get started with your annual planning:

  1. Reflect on Wins: Celebrate the best moments and accomplishments of the past year.
  2. Review Challenges: Identify the adversities you faced and the lessons God taught you through them.
  3. Define Your Values: Clarify the principles that will guide your actions and decisions.
  4. Set a Theme: Choose a word or phrase that encapsulates your focus for the year.
    • Example: This year, my theme was “Sustainable Growth.”
  5. Write Your Goals: Make a list of clear, meaningful objectives for all areas of your life.
  6. Create Tactics: Break your goals into actionable, measurable steps.
  7. Schedule It: Block time in your calendar to ensure your plans become reality.

And that’s it!

Annual planning isn’t just about getting organized; it’s honoring the life God has called you to live. When you take time to reflect, pray, and plan, you align your actions with His purpose.

This week, I challenge you to at least take the first step: reflect on your wins from last year and celebrate your accomplishments.
