We’re nearing the end of the year!

Quick question… Have you taken some time to revisit the goals you set for yourself this year?

Back in January, you wanted to finally launch your coaching business, start your podcast, have X amount of sales calls lined up every week, leave your 9 to 5 and take your coaching business seriously. Yet, here we are, almost at the end of the year, and you still feel like you're not reaching your goals.

That’s why I’m here today to talk to you about a principle I learned from my friend Ray Edwards: DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT.

As you know, at Faith2Influence, we assist 7 and 8-figure coaches by handling sales for their events or through their high-ticket offer funnels on a retainer basis. One of our first major clients was Ray Edwards. At the opening of Ray's event in Nashville, Tennessee, he shared a piece of wisdom that has stuck with me for years: "Done is better than perfect."

This year, I've faced several challenges with refining the offers in my business. I decided to offer a solo-day of coaching to my clients. Recently, I found myself feeling indecisive and doubting myself. I was trying to over-prepare, worried I wouldn't have all the answers. Then, I remembered Ray's wisdom: "Done is better than perfect." So, I showed up, determined to add as much value as I could, even without having every detail prepared. My client was incredibly thankful, and we helped her achieve her goals and move her business forward.

If you want to apply Ray Edwards' secret to getting things done, here are the key takeaways:

  • Take Imperfect Action: Whether you’re launching a group program, hopping on a sales call, or running a coaching session, perfection is not the goal. Showing up consistently is.

  • Embrace Authenticity: Authenticity connects more deeply than perfection ever could.

  • Commit to Consistency: Keep showing up. Week after week, year after year, your consistent action will bear fruit.

Remember, success isn't about being perfect; it’s about being present and persistent. Let’s commit to showing up, taking action, and trusting in the process.
