From Idea to Launch in Your Coaching Business

This message is for newer coaches who are in the ideation phase. Maybe you've taken some action, but you haven't yet brought your idea to launch. You don't yet have clients or a real business. I want to walk you step-by-step through some of the simple things that must be done for you to have a real coaching business.

I want to walk you step-by-step through some of the simple things that must be done for you to have a real coaching business.

Three primary keys stand out:

Step 1: Clarify Your Offering:

Define Your Mission: Who's your ideal client? What do you do for them? Why does it matter?
Structure Your Offering: Choose your coaching format (one-on-one, group, live events, etc) and program length (typically 3, 6, or 12 months).
Set Your Price: Understand your value in the marketplace.

Remember that you are the only person who will be in your program forever, so design something YOU love.

Step 2: Get yourself ready to take payments:

Establish Your Business Foundation: Create an LLC and obtain an EIN number.
Organize Your Finances: Open a business checking account and get a business credit card.
Enable Smooth Transactions: Set up a Stripe or Square account for seamless payments.

Step 3: The First Sale:

Focus on sales activities: Prioritize actions that generate sales NOW.
Create a prospect list: Identify potential clients or referral partners within your network.
Initiate conversations: Reach out, share your mission, and invite your prospects to a call.

Lastly don’t forget…

Celebrate your first client: Embrace the moment when your coaching vision becomes a tangible reality.
