How to Run Your Own Podcast (The Easy Way)
Let's talk about something serious today.
Just kidding 😄
But seriously… if you’ve ever thought about launching a podcast (and then immediately thought: “That sounds hard… I’m not ready… I don’t have time…”)
This one’s for you.
I’ve been there.
Back when I launched the Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches Podcast in 2023, I was overthinking everything: the tech, the graphics, the structure, the editing, the name…
But now?
We’ve had over 21,000 streams across all platforms, averaging 68 plays per episode, made real sales, and grown a loyal audience, and I’m doing it in the easiest way possible.
And I think you can, too.
Here are 6 keys that make podcasting feel light, fun, and sustainable:
1. Pick one clear audience + one clear topic
Mine? Christian coaches + sales. Easy to find, easy to remember.
2. Keep episodes short + sweet
Forget 90-minute interviews. I shoot for 8–20 mins—value-packed and bingeable.
3. Skip the guests (at least at first)
No scheduling, no stress, just hit record and go. You’re the value!
4. Use an auto-publish platform
I use Riverside to record, edit, and publish in one place—a game-changer.
5. Keep edits minimal
Mess up? Pause? Say “um”? Just laugh and keep rolling. Done is always better than perfect.
6. Have a simple promo plan
Send 1 weekly email. Make 1 weekly post. That’s enough to start.

Podcasting is a long-game strategy. If you’re willing to show up consistently (even imperfectly), you’ll be amazed at what God does with it.
You’ve got something to say. And someone out there needs to hear it.
So let’s go!!
