Radical Gratitude in 2024! Join Me on the First Day of the Year

A man is sharing his personal reflection on the transformative power of radical gratitude and the profound impact it can have on our lives, businesses, and sales conversations on the first day of the year

What better day than January 1st to kick off a journey of radical gratitude?

Today, I want to share a personal reflection on the transformative power of radical gratitude and the profound impact it can have on our lives, businesses, and sales conversations.

Earlier this year, I took a pause from the demands of life and booked an Airbnb in a remote Wisconsin town to get away for a couple of days by myself. It was a time of healing and a moment to step away from the weight of responsibility I carry as a business leader, husband, and father. I was also creating space to grieve the loss of my sister, Linnea, who passed away too early from cancer.

Like many of you, I wrestle with the challenge of juggling various roles and responsibilities in life. It's a balancing act that can become overwhelming at times. In this season, I found myself acknowledging the need to prioritize self-care so that I could be at my best for my family and my business.

Let’s be honest… in our culture people rarely feel that it is okay and acceptable to take a day off and rest! It's crucial to acknowledge that it's okay to not be okay sometimes and to grant ourselves the grace to prioritize ourselves and our mental health more often.

During my retreat, a revelation occurred—the key to the next phase of my journey was radical gratitude.

I consciously focused on the present, expressing gratitude for the smallest blessings—the warmth of the sun, the air that I breathe, the people around me. It's about recognizing that, in every moment, God has provided us with immeasurable gifts.

So… what is radical gratitude?

This is not just about being thankful; it is a profound shift towards acknowledging and appreciating the abundance in every aspect of life.

How can radical gratitude impact our business?

When we embody radical gratitude, it transforms our approach. We carry a sense of abundance, reducing the neediness in our interactions. In sales, it means being committed to serving without being attached to the outcome.

My invitation to you today is to choose to be radically grateful for all the things that you have. Slow down, take a deep breath, and let this state of mind impact your life and business. Let's embark on this journey together and witness the transformative power of gratitude.

Would you be willing to pray for me? Our next Sales School for Coaches Cohort is about to kickoff- Tomorrow! Please pray for God to work through me and to support each of the Christian Entrepreneurs taking this next step with us.

I couldn’t finish this letter without expressing how grateful I am for the support I received from my community in 2023. God has blessed me with incredible moments of growth, learning, and connection with all of you. Thank you for making it a memorable year.

Cheers to making 2024 the best year yet!
