Exciting news! We recently launched our revamped website for Faith2Influence, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out. Take a peek here and let me know what you think! Huge thanks to Phil and Jule, who poured so much time and energy into making it happen. 🙌

Now, let me share a quick story to encourage you today.

A few weeks ago, I was with my friend Jared Witman recording some podcast videos, and it took me back to my very first day recording a sales training for F2I in 2019. I remember standing in front of the camera, feeling knots in my stomach, and worrying about being perfect. I was thinking “People will judge this. I need to say everything perfectly.”

It was overwhelming! 😣

Even though I wasn’t excited about the finished product (and I never even watched it because I didn’t want to feel the turmoil all over again), so many people found value in that training.

What’s incredible is how far I’ve come since then.

Fast forward to today—I’ve recorded hundreds of videos, and it doesn’t feel so scary anymore. I don’t judge myself the way I used to. I allow myself to make mistakes, be authentic, and just keep moving forward.

But let me tell you, THIS didn’t happen overnight. It took time, self-compassion, and patience. Most importantly, it took repetition—doing it over and over until it became second nature.

So... what’s the KEY?

Repetition.

The key to becoming great at anything is repetition. Whether it's sales, coaching, or playing an instrument, the path to mastery requires practice.

If you want to be great at a sport, you know the drill—practice, practice, practice until you're ready for the game. The same goes for everything else. The more you practice, the better you get. With each repetition, you reach new levels of mastery.

When we humbly commit to repetition, we allow ourselves to grow, find new awareness, and learn from mentors. That's when real transformation happens.

The Same Applies to Sales!

You might be thinking, “But what if I don’t even know how to do sales?” Well, I have two things to say about that:

  1. Show up with a genuine desire to help your prospects.
  2. Equip yourself with resources and start learning.

And… most importantly, learn from someone who’s been through the struggles and has had enough repetitions to overcome them.

I’ve held over 10,000 sales calls in my life, which is how I know this: If you want to be great at sales, the only way to improve is by having more conversations and more calls. But it’s also crucial to follow a high-integrity process that aligns with your values—especially if you’re a Christian coach.

So, if you’re looking for a process to improve yourself...

And remember: Confidence doesn’t come first—experience does.

The more you record videos, host group calls, and hold sales conversations, the more comfortable and confident you become. Every mistake, every challenge, and every tough moment brings you closer to where you want to be.

If your first calls feel terrifying, know that by your fifth, it’ll be easier. By your tenth, it’ll feel natural, and by your hundredth, you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come.
