Sales as an Invitation

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Ziglar Coaches Summit in Dallas. I shared my keynote message called “Sales Is Love.”

(And yes — it was awesome.)

But as I prepared for that talk, something kept echoing in my heart: Most people are afraid of sales.

According to a Salesforce study, 90% of people feel uncomfortable or even afraid when it comes to selling.

And honestly, I get it.

So many of us have been taught that sales has to be high-pressure, pushy, or manipulative. That we either have to twist someone’s arm... or they’ll walk away.

But I don’t believe that.

Not for a second.

What if sales is actually an invitation?

I believe sales can be simple.
I believe it can be sacred.
I believe it can look a lot more like coaching... with an invitation at the end.

When you use our 10-Step Sales Process (if you don’t have it yet, get it free at www.goodsalesPDF.com), you’re not just pitching. You’re coaching.

You learn how to ask powerful questions.
You learn how to help people discover what they want and what’s in the way.
You learn how to create space for transformation.

And how to invite them into something deeper.

Your job is not to convince people. Your job is to invite.

Sales is not about making someone do something.
It’s about making it easy for the right person to say yes.

A Kingdom Perspective

Think about this in light of discipleship.

We are called to share the good news of Jesus.
To live in a way that reflects Him.
To offer His invitation with love and enthusiasm.

But we don’t convert anyone. That’s God’s work.
Our role is to invite and trust God with the outcome.

Sales is the same.

We show up with care, confidence, and clarity.
We make the invitation.
We love and respect the other person, whether they say yes or no.

The result? We get to make a difference…without the pressure.

Want more people to say yes? Invite more often.

If you're not seeing the results you want in your business: More sales. More clients. More impact.

Ask yourself one question:

How many people have I invited recently?

Most coaches aren’t selling too hard.
They’re just not inviting often enough.

This week, I want to encourage you:
Keep showing up.
Keep making it easy for the right people to say yes.
And keep trusting God with the outcome.
