Surrender

I’ve been thinking about you this week.
As I was reflecting on what it means to prepare for something big: Something that feels God-ordained but also comes with resistance.
I imagine you might be stepping into something significant right now.
Maybe it’s growing your business.
Maybe it’s making that first big offer.
Maybe it’s simply saying yes to God’s call on your life.
And you might be wondering:
"Can I really do this?"
"Am I actually made for this?"
"It seems so easy for others, but not for me. Maybe I’m not called for this."
I know those questions — because I’ve asked them myself, too.
I remember my first-ever live event with Faith2Influence. Only eight people were coming, but it felt huge.
In the days leading up to it? Everything went wrong.
- A sudden, intense toothache so bad even drinking water hurt.
- Something falling from the garage rafters, hitting me on the head.
- Technology glitches, set-up chaos, and moments of panic where I thought, “What if I fail these people that are coming?”
The pressure was real.
I sat alone in the retreat room, imagining disappointed faces, crushed under the weight of my own expectations. And in that moment of despair, a truth surfaced:
I wasn’t supposed to carry this alone.
And, friend, you aren’t either.
Here’s what I’ve learned: When the enemy attacks, it’s not a sign to stop. It’s a sign you’re stepping into something important.
So, next time you feel that resistance, here’s what I want you to do:
1️⃣ Surrender Your Plans to God
Before you try to push through, pause.
Say the prayer I say all the time:
"God, this is Yours. My plans, my business, my words. Work through me. Lead through me. Let Your will be done."
Surrender takes the pressure off your shoulders and places it back where it belongs, in God’s hands.
2️⃣ Take Action Anyway
Fear tells us to stop.
Faith tells us to move.
Take the next step forward. Make the offer. Send the email. Lead the call.
Trust that God will meet you in the action.
This is how breakthroughs happen.
If you’re feeling resistance right now, whether before a big event, a sales call, a launch, or just a regular Monday, you’re not alone.
Take a deep breath.
Surrender it to God.
Now it’s your turn…
Have you ever felt the enemy’s pushback before a big step in your business? How did you surrender, and how did God show up?
Hit reply and share your story with me. I always do my best to read every email.
Thank you for reading all the way..
Let’s stay in the fight, fully surrendered and faithfully bold.
God bless you,
Justin
