Vision: The Most Compelling Step in the Sales Process

Scripture says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

That applies to your sales calls, too.

One of the biggest mistakes I see new coaches make is this:

They move from Discovery straight to the offer.

They learn where someone is…and then immediately try to fix it.

But they skip the most compelling step in the process: Vision.

Discovery is Point A:

  • Where are you now?
  • How did you get here?

Vision is Point B:

  • Where do you actually want to go?
  • If anything were possible, what would you build?
  • What would that look like financially? Relationally? Spiritually?

If someone can’t see Point B clearly, they won’t move toward it.

That’s why Vision is one of the most powerful steps in the entire 10-Step Sales Process.

It’s not hype.
It’s leadership.

And when you do it well, you serve someone, whether they buy or not.

If you want to see how Vision fits inside the complete framework — from Start to Close — I created a simple PDF breaking down all 10 steps.

Study it. Practice it. Master it.

Sales done right feels like coaching.

The more clearly they see Point A and Point B, the easier it is for them to move forward.
