Who Are Your 3:00 AM People?
A few weeks ago, during one of our live masterclasses, something happened that honestly got me a little emotional.
We were recording, and Angela Mize - one of our coaches - said this:
"You're the reason I'm still in business... every time I join one of your programs, I get the community, the Holy Spirit moving, AND clarity on what God wants me to do."
But what hit me hardest was when she said:
"I'm not alone anymore. And that's what's amazing - not being alone."
Man, that got me.
Because that's exactly what my late mentor Dan Miller used to talk about…
Your "3:00 AM People"
Dan would ask this question: "Who are your 3:00 AM people?"
If everything went wrong at 3:00 in the morning - you needed money, support, you were in real trouble - who could you call?
Who would have your back no matter what?
Who would drop everything for you if you really needed them?
Dan believed those relationships were everything. Not just for business, but for life.
And he was right.
When I look at my own success - the revenue, the impact, the fulfillment - it all comes back to relationships with the right people.
Aaron Hovivian. Teresa McCloy. Tommy Breedlove. Chris Tuff.
These aren't just networking contacts. They're people who've:
- Referred ideal clients to me
- Promoted me to their audiences
- Prayed for me when things got hard
- Believed in me when I doubted myself
Those core relationships have been worth hundreds of thousands of dollars - maybe approaching a million - in business over the years.
But more than the money, they've made sure I'm not alone.
The Question You Need to Ask
Here's what I want you to think about today:
Do you have your 3:00 AM people?
People who BOTH:
- Share your Christian faith and values
- AND understand what you're going through as an entrepreneur
Because here's what I've learned: You need both.
I used to have church friends who understood my values but couldn't speak into my business. And I had business friends who understood entrepreneurship but didn't share my faith.
Finding both is the key.
That's what Angela was talking about in her message. That's what makes all the difference.
